Kullu and Mandi districts are most affected by drugs. Now, rising cases of synthetic drugs are beaconing a growing headache for agencies. NCB had chosen Mandi district which is also a gateway to Kullu-Manali, as its office in Himachal. Now it had directed Hotels, restaurants,s, and bars to not just warn but also spread awareness to stop the sale, purchase, and consumption of drugs.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has asked owners of hotels, restaurants, and bars in Mandi, Kuala, and Manali to affix still signboards displaying warning messages to spread awareness against drugs.

The NCB zonal director at Chandigarh has written to the Hotel and Restaurant Association in Mandi, Kuala, and Manali that steel signboards should be affixed by all properties. The center and director-general of NCB have dispersed that all stakeholders should come together to spread awareness among people. For this, it has been proposed to Affix still signboards in all the Hotels. NCB will spread awareness in coordination with Stakeholders.
