Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in a recent meeting of top officials of the state tourism department had instructed them to prepare strategies to ensure the growth of the tourism sector keeping the safety and health of the tourists in mind post Covid19.
Hotels, Resorts, Restaurants, and Water parks in the state of Gujarat do not have to pay any property tax for the financial year starting March 31, 2021. This was decided at a working committee meeting helmed by the state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani recently.
The meeting also decided to exempt the hospitality industry from paying any fixed electricity charges, and now have to pay only on actual consumption till the situation improves, sources in Gujarat Tourism added.
Gujarat is a state on the western coast of India with a coastline of 1,600 km and currently has more the 3500 registered Accommodations including Hotels, Resorts, Homestay, Boathouses and etc.
