Marriott International recently introduced a staycation offer for hotels in India.

Marriott International introduced what they called a ‘handpicked staycation offer’ in their hotels operating in India. The offer which is valid till December 31, 2020, is open for domestic destinations.

Guests can enjoy their stay without physical interaction with our hotel associates, which has been made possible by the use of innovative technology like mobile key check-in and check-out, QR code scanning for menus and other hotel information, and contactless payments as part of our overall 'Commitment to Clean' program encompassing all hygiene and sanitation steps taken for a guest journey.

We have launched exclusive long stay and staycation packages that include customized room tariffs (inclusive of meals) for a safe paradise termed as High on Work, urging guests to own their personal Himalayan workspace. They can enjoy majestic views of the Garhwal Mountains and the serenity of the luscious surroundings while achieving their work goals seamlessly. We have imagined our resort to boost creativity and productivity. Now marching towards re-establishing the business output for the hospitality industry, we assure all our patrons of serving them the heightened personalized service that the brand is known for with a complete focus on hygiene and sanitization as we keep the hills safe.

JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort Spa has 115 rooms. FB outlets include JW Café, Teppan, Trout House Grill Bar, Wisteria Deck, and The Botanical Café at Greenhouse. The hotel also has Cedar Spa by L’Occitane.

We have moved from High – Touch to Touchless through technology, space design, meeting set-up, and food beverage offering. We have introduced deeper and more frequent cleaning, with extra attention given to high-traffic areas. We have moved to a technology-friendly approach with our Marriott Bonvoy app for requests and are enabling Live/ Virtual hybrid meetings through live-streaming capabilities. There are also room inspections done by senior management on a regular basis.

With the lockdown easing down, we have been able to get back some amount of business. The majority of our queries revolve around smaller wedding groups for Q4 2020 Q1 2021. The ideal location, at a drivable distance, sources as a key factor for targeting multiple queries of staycations, day outings, small meetings, and intimate weddings to drive business to the resort. The resort is spread in 23 acres of land, making it one of the largest spread out resort areas, with an event space of over 01 lakh sq. ft. wherein there are multiple venues for wedding functions. We are leveraging on business due to our expanse and the possibility of having independent villas and avoiding the risk of contamination and ensuring personal space with social distancing measures complied with.
